Juneydra Hike

Hike to Juneydra(also known as Juneydrak) is the best around the valley. About 1km north of Haa, just before the main bridge, a paved road branches east 1 km to Katsho village, from where you can take a lovely 40-minute hike to Juneydra hermitage (also known as Juneydrak). From just below the hermitage, a rough trail scrambles up the hillside and curves round the exposed bluff.

Chele la to Kila Goemba Nunnery Hike

The height of Chele La is 13084 ft (3988m) making one of the highest vantage points in Bhutan from which you can marvel at commanding spectacular views of the snowcapped Mountain Jomolhari (7326 meters) from the Chelela Pass. The start hiking uphill from the right side of the road. You will have great views of both Paro and Thimphu valleys as you hike up just for a few minutes from the road. The views include mount Jumolhari and other Himalayan ranges.

Haa Panorma Hike

The Panorma hike begins from Yangthang Lhakhang (2893m) and provides panoramic views of Haa valley, the sacred Meri Puensum and distant peaks, whilst immersing in the pristine pine forests. The scenic trail gently ascends to 3106m and passes through pine forests, pastures, and intact environment and traverses the monasteries of Yanthang (2700m), Katsho Eco-Camp (2994m) and Juneydrak (2908m) before descending into Wangtsa village (2850m).

Meri Puensum Hike

Nestled in the pristine landscapes of Haa, the Meri Puen Sum region boasts a unique combination of biking and hiking trails that promise an exhilarating adventure amidst breathtaking panoramas. The trail begins at Dumcho and ends at the suspension bridge near Haa Town which is almost 27.41 km. You will need to ascend uphill for about 4-5 hours. As you hike you will come across various streams, bridges, wild mush – rooms, flowers and birds.

Haa Valley View Trail

Haa valley view trail was opened on 11/11/2015 to celebrate birth anniversary of great fourth king of Bhutan. This hike relatively easy with flat walk and stunning views of Haa valley from the canopy. You will end hike from above Rigsum resort.
